Lindsey Vonn, PK Subban, ends their three-year relationship
Lindsey Vonn and PK Subban have decided to split up.
The power couple in the sports world used social media Tuesday to share the news, which came almost a year after the day Vonn said she asked Subban to marry her.
“PK and I have had some incredible times in the last 3 years,” wrote Vonn, the former ski star, on Instagram. “He’s a kind, good man and someone I respect very much. After much deliberation, however, we decided to move forward separately. We will always be friends and love each other immensely.”
Subban shared a similar post, writing in part, “Lindsey is one of the nicest, most caring people I know. I will always appreciate our time together as a couple and the many laughs we shared.”
The 36-year-old Vonn retired last year from a skiing career that included three Olympic medals, four overall World Cup titles and 82 World Cup race wins, a record for a woman.
The 31-year-old Subban won the 2013 Norris Trophy with Montreal as best defender in the NHL. He spent the last season with the Devils.
The couple met at ESPYS 2017 and began dating in 2018 after Vonn returned from the Pyeongchang Olympics.
